I greatly appreciate that these barrettes do not break your hair, i.e. no metal. I also like their design. However, they are not very durable, rarely lasting more than a few months. The latch tends to break, making it impossible to secure the barrette. I wish this design could be more sturdily made.

Lovely classic design. Nice subtle touch that does not overshadow an outfit but is not boring. Holds finer/thinner hair securely. I have worn Speert barrettes for years because they are long hair-friendly and do not cause damage.
These barrettes are simply the best. I have been purchasing them from Speert for years since stumbilng upon them in a classy NY pharmacy. The best thing about them is that they contain no metal, so they will not break your hair. Awesome.
